Given how many Castle Rock residents are California transplants, we wanted to send out our hopes and prayers that none of your family and/or friends are affected by this crisis. The DC Sheriff took the opportunity to remind everyone to sign up for the free notification system CodeRED. Refer to their X post here. Sports:

• Broncos - I don’t think anyone was surprised by the Bills easily handling the Broncos, but at least we made the playoffs! Not something we’ve done since we won the Super Bowl! Things seem to be looking up now that Sean Peyton has found our quarterback solution in the young Bo Nix.

• Nuggets - the Nugs improved their record to 23-15 with wins over the Clippers, Nets, and Mavs and a loss to the Celtics. They are sitting at 4th in the Western Conference.

• Avalanche - the Avs lost some momentum with a record of 44-26 with losses to the Blackhawks and Jets and a win over the Wild. They are sitting at 4th in the Central Conference.
