We have a couple of ribbon cuttings happening this week…congrats to The Little Gym of Castle Rock (grand opening on July 12th) and to Castle View Cafe (old Vista Vino location)!

This week in Castle Rock….

Featured Event: Pedal the Moon

Get ready for a family-friendly evening on two wheels! Grab your bike, helmet, and some decorations for the Town's annual Pedal the Moon ride along East Plum Creek Trail. This twilight ride is a great way to enjoy the summer night air, with plenty of lights, music, and fun along the way.

Event Details
When: Saturday, July 12th | 6:30pm - 10:00pm
Where: Depart from Castle View High School (7pm) or Douglas County High School (7:15pm)
Route: Ride to Festival Park — 6 miles of mostly flat terrain, perfect for riders of all ages.

Decorate your bike at the glow station, and don’t forget your helmet, headlamp, and blinking rear light! Once you reach Festival Park, enjoy music, food, and glow giveaways.

Registration
$18 for adults, $16 for seniors, $14 for kids under 12 (plus fees). Includes a T-shirt, dinner (hot dog, chips, and drink), and fun memories under the moon.

  • Nuggets - free agency drama continues. After making a trade with Sacramento for Valunciunas, a Greek team made a move to pursue him, but the Nugs fully expect him to honor his contract.

  • Rockies - Hunter Goodman is officially an All Star! Record is 21-70.

  • Avalanche - Defenseman Brent Burns has been signed to a one-year deal.

  • Rapids - the Rapids fell to Sporting KC on Saturday, and are now 9th in the Western Conference with a record of 7-9-5 with 26 points.
